Poetry has always been there, a tiny part of me I’ve been uneasy to explore, but in college it became a crutch. Here are some of my poems from throughout the years.

as I float between a void
Between what is
and could have been
I’ll see your face a second
And remember why I’m here
In limbo of love of what
We’re told is good and bad
I know no heat will hurt us
If we tried with pure intentions

Something somewhere tells me that I will figure it out. It’s a quiet echo of a voice farther and deeper within whatever is inside me; the only place where sound travels faster than light. Its resonance bounces off the sides of nowhere and though it fades, it catches me still.
Hark! a hippocampal herald
Though I may seem
crestfallen
and not amused,
do not fear!
for I am amused by my
Disappointment;
the cold nights
bleakness does not bother me,
either:
I’m kept warm by the
heaviness
it covers me in.
Foolish Feelings
Locks like ribbons
Flow behind me
Boasting a thickness greater
Than that of my brain
when I’m in love.
